When was your last visit to Germany? In the late 70's? Lol!
But you're right on the grass. Talking about the stuff on the fields, of course.

White color added.

Front section got some more hairspray (2nd layer for the light blue) and the turret gun was added. Gun holes drilled with a 0.4 mm drill. Now the detail painting fun like pin washing etc. can begin.

EDIT: Chipping, round 2 - green stripes fot the planes side, including another layer of hairspray of course.

Lucas! Looks fantastic! I was going to ask you earlier in the day if you were going to add the squadron colors. Now I am excited for you, and maybe going to study and make changes for the future. The metallic black adds a textural component that works really well. I also meant to send my compliments to you on the base! Such a great design. Always your graphics are unique as well as in keeping with different universes. Please more photos!

Far too kind of you. :)

Im having holidays right now so theres spare time left to work on the Y-Wing. Todays actions were...

> Repainting the base + adding details to make it look "busy" (light poles, air pressure container etc.)
>>>> this caused that the squadron badge went off. No problem, it will be there again. Saved it on my PC and printer is ready. ;)

>adding green to the engines including "destroying" the paint - same procedure as I did on the cockpit section
>some detail painting here and there
>repositioning the figures

Pictures will follow...

Looking forward to the photos... sounds like you made excellent progress despite having to redo the squadron badge (as you write it will be an easy fix).

My favorite Star Wars ship/craft, ever since I first saw the original. Very nice work!
