No, it is because 1/72 is the one tue scale!

Very exciting news for me! I've been itching to do Gentile's bird for a long, long time. Just didn't want to do the mods needed for the existing pseudo-P-51Bs, and next to impossible to find Jerry's kit. So far, HK has impressed me quite well.
B-17G, (fave bomber), B-25H, (75mm cannon. Need I say more?), and now this.

No, it is because 1/72 is the one true scale!

OUCH!! We just had to go there didn't we?
This does look interesting, but seeing at it is not my chosen scale; I'll be passing on it. That being said; I do have the old 1/32 scale Monogram Visible Mustang that I won in a speed-build contest that I plan on building someday. That should be interesting.
I do know a lot of people will be thrilled with this release and I'll be expecting to see a ton of these on the contest tables in the coming years. Thanks for posting this Jim, I for one do appreciate it.

HKM does nice kits, but I guess they rushed on the Do 335 to make money?
Incorrect. I suppose I have to remember your bias towards ZM and their release in this statement. I have no bias, despite doing a lot of work for HK. I built their Do 335 3 times and had NO fit issues. Yes, the detail in the rear engine bay is sparse, and needed extra work. I agree there.
Now, ZM released the Ho 229, and it was probably the best ever kit I built, and I'll say that despite the history we have. I went to visit ZM at Telford this year and spoke with Kuni for a while. Also picked up a Ta 152. Despite it not being HK, I won't tear it a new arsehole in order to make another company look good

I know I'm getting the ZM Do 335 too, so expect an unbiased review article.
My ZM Ho 229 will be in the next issue of Military Illustrated Modeller. A great kit, with no bias!!

I think that therein lies the cause of the initial tepid response to this posting. The majority of the folks here appear to favor 1/72 as their primary scale for aircraft builds. (Myself not included) Followed by 1/48, then 1/32, in that order. At least if you look at WIPs and Completions on here. Most folks here dabble in 1/32, so to speak, but do not focus on it.
