Oh, they are many...

However, one not that common airplane that is pretty high in my list of the most beautiful is the Dornier Do-22 ( the seaplane version )

Many aircraft in particular come to mind, but I'll stick with 4. The P-38 lightning,B-25H Mitchell, F4 Phantom, and the A-10. I've always been a fan of the beautiful/ugly birds.

On a non-aircraft side, the 4-6-4 Hudson steam locomotive in the early New York Central, 20th Century Limited art deco fairings.

Aircraft are like women, there's no such thing as an ugly one. If I had to pick just a single choice though, it would be via the seductive caress of that flying siren, the Northrop F-5.

Interesting Thread. I like it.

Mine are unique and different:

Aircraft, Jets: The F-105 Thunderchief. That is so ugly it's beautiful and screams of sheer, brute power. Another one is the MiG 21, early versions; so sleek and shiny.

Aircraft, Props: I have to agree with the Me110. Something about that bird is so appealing to me. Another is the Japanese Zero; such a sexy little plane.

Armor: Well, this one is tough. One of my all time favorites is the early M-48 tanks; I just love that beast. Another is a more specific tank: the T-72 in West German markings. In Russian markings it's pretty cool too but there's something specifically intriguing about this tank wearing a Maltese cross on it.

Ships, sailing: The Golden Hind. That and the Cutty Sark.

Ships, powered: Another tough category for me. Russian Krivak class ships; again so sleek and racy. Also, Italian battleships from WWI; they sure built them pretty. More modern is the Italian Giuseppe Garibaldi modern Italian aircraft carrier. Beautiful ship! I just wish someone would release one in 1/700 scale plastic!

Props: MiG-3 and the spitfire. And the Bugatti Des Monges..... Difficult category.

Airliners: Constellation. And jet airliner: the Convair 880

Cars: Citroen SM. And I like that coffin nose on a Cord.

Tanks: they are ugly! But being a WoT player I am going for the purposeful look of an IS-3.

Ships: an Carl Douglas skiff, it is not a "ship" just a small rowing boat but they beautiful and lovingly build with mahogany wood.
