Pumped out a few drops and used those tiny micro detail brushes.

I thought the same thing but that’s what the instruction guide pointed out. I have thought about shooting a mist of clear smoke. Haven’t decided yet.

Last night, I masked off the bottom half to be ready for paint. Upon spraying the first light coat as it drying, I noticed some light orange peel. SONUVABITCH!!! :headbang: :headbang: :headbang:

I don’t want to strip paint off the car body again so I’m going to try sanding it down as much as I can. I’m guessing it was a combination of either it was kinda damp humid outdoors and spraying too close too much. As Lyle likes to say... Scale modelling is fun. :bored:

Yeah it did suck. I’m going to let it dry completely before doing anything. It was a PITA to mask off the bottom half from the trim line and dealing with masking the molded in door handles. I used poster putty to mask off.

I think the thin orange peel shouldn’t be an issue to fix. Yeah, I hate paint problems too. :bag:

The trim on the chrome down the side of the car was engine turned aluminum on the 62 Chevy Super Sport. That was my ride as a senior in high school. It was metallic blue. License number AUT 872. I'm pretty sure the trim on the trunk panel was too but I might be wrong. I'm sure about the side trim because I had to keep gluing the front end of it back on.

After a couple days of thinking it over, I think I’m going to go with aluminum instead of white. I think the white will be too stark against the color scheme I’ve chosen for this kit.
