LOL @ Carlos. I'll probably head out there after the holidays in January.

This past Saturday at AMPS I wrapped up the major construction on this build

I left the front engine and dash portion separate for now for painting purposes, but put the wheels and front on for a test fit and the photos

I'll have more progress photos later in the week... after I start painting and get the final bits glued on...

I read this through from the beginning, Carlos. Great images, but I’m confused by the color of the plastic. It looks dark grey or black. Is that the case or do my eyes deceive me? Cheers

Bruce, the plastic is a very dark green, almost black in tone. It’s the standard color that the majority of the Testors-Italeri kits came in at that time.

Weird - I think the blue color balance of the lighting has turned green towards black unless you processed this with a filter.

Yes I used one of the quick filter settings on my phone’s photo app. It’s nice and quick. There is only so much time in the day.

Since I had my airbrush out yesterday for work on my P-35 project, I also did some work on this one. Mostly getting the areas that will be harder to paint at the end after final assembly such as the underside and drivers area…

I used AK Real Colors Dark Olive Drab 22. I’m planning on doing fading later with Real Colors faded Olive Drab, after a solid overall base of the OD 22.
