Fair enough. I wonder where I've been for all those years... I remember when you first mentioned them! Wow!

Lol! Sorry Bruce, I didn't mean that comment to come off as Sarcasm or anything, if it did I apologise. I really do think they're good paints - I really don't want to know how much I've spent on them lol! For brush painting the Red and Blue lines are really good. A bit grainy maybe, but they can take a lot of abuse. Yeah occasionally I get a duff set, the USAF SEA camo set I had was very translucent, but that's rare.

Hakata paints I’ve heard of but never see them stateside.Revell I don’t see too often. Last time I saw them was at a Syracuse area hobby shop a few years ago.If I recall, they were in tins similar to Humbrol paints. I’ve seen their glues at Hobby Town in my area though.

I've used Hataka orange line (lacquer) with success. They're pretty nice and have a good catalog. Revell email enamels are excellent in my limited experience. Megahobby and Hobbytown carry them.

Not at all. If anything your comment reminds me that "oceans of time" have passed since joining the forum and somehow I remember you writing about these paints much more recently!

My local HobbyTown carries Tamiya, a few Vallejo Model Color, and a couple of brand of Warhammer colors.

I've made some pretty good progress on the Ferret, I've finished painting the camouflage (my guess-ti-mate of Cypress camo) and I'm in the process of doing the detail painting.

It's not my best work, but it'll do.

Cheers All!

to borrow Kari’s phrase: Wonderful! I wish I could paint like that with acrylics… or are these enamels? Whenever I see the bright red pad I think Humbrol enamels.
