LOL!!! I think I can either find or replicate one! If I do this it's going to have to be beyond the gray primer stage though. lol

And a motorized shopping cart next to it. There's one using them every time to go to Walmart. Drives me crazy for they act like they own the damn aisles.

I was hoping to be more along than what I am here but this part took alot of work. First off I added a wiring harness that I still have to do some work on regarding a couple of circuit breakouts from the main harness. I took a piece of telephone wire and stripped the end off of it and used coil winding wire from a GM fuel pump relay to wind around the phone wire to replicate the plastic black conduit that you see on alot of more modern engines. Then I put a terminal end on the alternator cable with a nut glued onto that. After that I started on the throttle linkage by building the bracket and pivot lever (which was four pieces when you count the two PE retaining bolt heads that I glued onto it going into the intake manifold) and got that glued in.

I'm going to put a hold on the fine detail for the time being and build up the headers, paint them and glue those into place so I don't have to handle the engine very much when installing the rest of the throttle linkage and fuel delivery pieces.

I'll be using braided fuel line like this:

and anodized fittings like this (I've already got these on order BTW ) to replicate the fuel delivery system:

:yikes:
To make each build less crappy than the last one. Or, put another way, "Better than the last one, not as good as the next one!"..

My eyes will hurt if I worked with something that tiny. Looking forward to seeing more engine detailing.

I was going to delete this picture from my camera but decided at the last minute to keep it because it's a clearer shot than I thought it was. At first glance it looks like the same stuff but clearly visible in this pic is the work that I completed this morning in regards to the throttle pivot shaft bracket assy on the rear carburetor and the throttle linkage at the intake. You can't really see the gap between the bracket and the manifold with the naked eye but you sure as hell can see it with the macro setting! lol.

In any case....todays update (it took me two and a half hours to get this done this morning!)

Image

A little closer. That bracket consists of four pieces: 1) the standoff bracket itself 2&3) the retaining nuts for the bracket to carburetor and for the bracket to the shaft pivot mount at the other end and 4) the shaft pivot mount assy. Believe me.........that's two and a half hours worth of work!!!
