Nothing worth posting pics. Stopped at HobbyTown in Clinton and they had a basket sale. Everything you put in a shopping basket gets 20% off. Green stickered items listed as 25% off is doubled to 50% off. Didn’t see any kits marked 25% off to get the 50% off. Instead, I stocked up on a couple colors… Tamiya lacquer Pure Blue and Dark Iron. I also picked up size 5/0 paintbrush for fine detail painting. All cost me less than $8.
Talked to the owners after all the noisy kids were gone. I told them I’m surprised they didn’t stock AK Interactive paints. They told me they don’t have shelf space for them. However… they informed me they will be getting the new AK Interactive paint markers soon. They went to a HobbyTown members only vendor show and tested them. They liked them and will sell them in their store in the near future.

It's the really old (1982) Airfix 1/72 F-105F kit Carlos. Not a bad kit, but the nose profile is far too fat. It's one of the few kits I remember building as a kid though, so it's just a fun bit of nostalgia.

Makes me want to build my F-105 - big bird!
Yesterday I got frustrated with the cars I'm building so I busted out something I understand better.
Doing Best/Millers bird
These guys make 3d decals. Not bad - the surface detail/releif is great but the instruments aren't as crisp, in terms of color/detail, as Quinta's stuff.
Cockpit underway

Stuart I remember those style box art. When I went to England in the early 80's came home with quite a few of those

Use the youtube button and only put the ID in (e36QrQIDn0w)
Thanks John - I actually tried that earlier but it didn't work. I must have cut too much of the link out by accident.

Sorry John, I missed this! Yes indeed, it's a beast of an aircraft. Looking forward to seeing yours if you build it.
The Dauntless cockpit is excellent and what a cracking subject - I really must get one and build it to go with my Wildcats. I'd like to do all the early WWII USN and USAAF aircraft at some point.
