Here's a few in progress -

Got the SBD buttoned up - need to check for seams/fill/sand
Image

A bit of Lyle syndrome going on with my Connie - lost the windscreen and one of the props (haven given up on the prop yet). I filled the windscreen area and need to shape. Not too concerned as it's got a decal for the windscreen anyhow.

And this is the second time around decaling this 34 slammer. First she was baby blue with white decals which went horribly wrong. Stripped the paint & decals, primered and decided I liked it gray.

:hmm: Really wish I'd started a separate thread for this build... oh well, too late now.

The decals are done, all the clear parts are futured, all the main gear is on bar the nose gear doors, which I need to sort out as one of them was short-shot. I'll have to make a replacement out of plasticard. I also need to fit and paint the warning beacon on the spine.

Image

Just weapons and pylons to fit next. I'm going for the standard MER with 750lb slick bombs on the fuselage, tanks on the inner pylons and an AIM-9 and an ECM pod on the outer pylons.

I might also give it an all over grime wash just to dirty it up a bit.

Cheers.

I've also been listening to the audiobook of this - really interesting and well worth a read/listen if you get a chance.

Great project, Stuart. I have a couple of those in the closet.
