lovely little lizard.
To make each build less crappy than the last one. Or, put another way, "Better than the last one, not as good as the next one!"..

I have a conundrum: What scheme to pick?!

Cracking back open the tall tail mustang, and sorted out some possible decal markings. I decided on a OD/NG mustang, so take that into considerations.....

This is whats included in the kit, Air Guard and Brit markings. I wanted to do a '46 plane and figured these wouldnt really fit

I also have a nice collection of spare decals from the revelgram -D kit, you know the one ;)
Image

Spare decals from another revell kit, this time the -B/C mark...
Image

I also have a p-40 decal sheet. Many units with -40s got replacement planes along the way and I figured a pilot carrying over his nose art wouldnt be too outlandish.
Image

same thing for the P-47's
Image

and of course I could just scrounge up more decals from the spares

anyone have thoughts??

decided on the black/yellow checkered nose....

with field applied camo based of these planes:

Here is what's all in the kit: limited run plastic, resin details, a pair of vacuform canopies, and decals (dur)
Image

looking at teh quality of teh kit pieces...the props are softly detailed and thick, and the exhausts are no more than suggestions.
Image

tamiya spares to teh rescue!
Image

there seemed to have been a bit of an accident during transportation and storage, because teh resin seat was broken! the missing chunk was MIA, so I grabbed another p-51 seat from teh spares box to use instead

Good luck with that CA kit, that is an older short run kit so test fitting and putty will definetly be in order.

I I ignored this section of the forum, even if you can and as is until eviene what I would like to sign up with two models in principle, that would go in a scene or diorama each would:

one BV 155 V1, and ki-115

if I had more time would make another one like Arado Er-555, of the luft 3x1000.

alright! This week was spent cleaning up the resin bits for the cockpit,

and painting it up!
Image

I added drops of clear parts adhesive to the dials to simulate glass

and here it is all together

Nice job! I do enjoy watching you get better as you build more.
