Impressive work Bruce! I'm thrilled to see this resurrected; this plane is so awesome. You got this man!

I am thinking about asking the “Flugzeug” forum for details but if you have any ideas, please I can use em. I asked Carlos and Marius, too.

Thank you so much for understanding....
Hi Bruce,

Like John already answered about the antenna line, here drawings of both options

Yes; ya gotta love Tamiya’s white primer... it’s brutally revealing but also hella beautiful. I’m considering masking the four white frontwards backwards L-shapes that are white with each fuselage balkenkruze, as well, using a copy of the decal as a guide. I think this detailing level will really add the right touch to this project, as well as give me a basis for painting the black section of each cross with a grey-green overspray. Do I sound crazy...

That's some really nice looking prep on the body Bruce.

Thank you both! (Am I using italics anymore?)

If so I decided I must spend half an hour to make a very softly casual RLM Blue (76?) from various Gunze colors and blend it. The photos were taken in harsh overhead light. Apologies. I will redo.

Wonderful! Fuselage looks very similar to the Hasegawa 1/32 K-4 kit, even molding the windshield integral with the fuselage section. There is something I've always liked about the asymmetrical cowling on the 109G/K... how it bulges around the engine mounts. It looks like the Fine Molds kit captures that aspect well.

The molded deflector plates above the exhausts are probably way overscale in 1/72. It would be easy to cut new ones from thin brass sheet using the molded ones as a template.

If you send me a scan of the decals with the dimensions of the decal sheet, I can send you some custom cut masks for the crosses.

Thank you so much! Yes I will gladly make a balkenkreuze scan pronto! I am struggling to photograph this painted color properly, which is frustrating. I wanted you to see this properly. Apologies, I must wait for natural light.

I see what you mean about the overscale deflector plates and will do exactly as you suggest! Thank you for such good advice. By the way I saved a whole slew of your photographs tonight as reference! The overhead angles are simply exquisite. I will reply directly on your thread about these photographs!
