Wow that didn't take long to get a new canopy. Good job in the gap I've never been good at stretching sprue.

Thanks Lyle,

I wish also there would be a list of tips, easy "reachable".. I tend to forget most of them if not used immediately... :bag:

There has not happened too much on the 110 project, due to "real life" kicking in, time to time...

But some weeks ago, after some reminders, the new PE parts from HGW arrived!

Something positive in other words... now just waiting for some extra time to arrive so I could continue with this bird!

I can identify as well. I have barely been able to work on anything since May. Man, it's been tough!

Did also something Stuart (aka Portman) likes to do, in other words some modelling during the lunch break..
As I decided to fix the port side nacelle, that did not really have the best of the best fit..

First had to put a piece of sprue inside, widening up the upper part slightly, perhaps 0,75 mm.

Image

There was some tiny gap that I fixed with stretched sprue.. But oh man did it take time before I succeeded to stretch the perfect piece. The gap was not even big, wider in one end and thinner in the other end. So same had to be applied to the stretched sprue to fit perfectly in the gap.

I found this method quite good, leaving the entire piece of sprue at it is, and then only pushing the stretched in the gap and then adding the thin liquid cement (this time Mr Cement S). Before I have always tried to more or a less cut the right length.

Now it need to stay still, one hour went in a fraction of a second!

Long time ago we have seen Silvio aka BsYamato here, so I will also end my post as Bruce also did:

At the next!

This is my preferred method of filling gas, looks great Kari!
