Re: Maddog Manufacturing 2018 Production
Thank you very much everyone for the awesome replies.
Carlos, thanks! I can attest that I did not breathe for awhile when those helo deck decals first came off the backing paper like that. Thank God they behaved and went down well. Thanks also for the word on the Humvee door. I figured they were a metal frame with fabric covers, but I didn't know they would fit that badly in real life.
Kari, thanks! This time you had two pages that you had to wait for to "pop-up". I'm glad they were worth it.
Mostrich, thanks! I am happy with the way those Humvees came out.
Stay tuned guys, more to come.

Re: Maddog Manufacturing 2018 Production
Mark, in the summertime, we often took the doors off of our M1037s, and left them in the motor pool conex. The added air flow for cooling while driving in 100*+ temperatures was more important than anything else.
Let’s just say that the phrase “made by the lowest bidder” was so accurate when it came to those soft doors. The clear portion did not stay clear for long, eventually fogging to the point of being as opaque as wax paper, the zipper seams sewn into to the fabric for opening and closing those windows would rip away-usually in the upper corners and in the worst weather times when you wanted them to stay shut, the latches and hinges were not durable...

LOL! Thanks Joe! I love your first sentence there! I appreciate the compliments man, and I'm always glad to see you stop in and post.mustang1989 wrote:This never gets old Mark. Love looking at all the modeling that you crank out bro. Good stuff.
Carlos, man, what a story! I never knew things were that bad with those. I guess that gives new meaning to the term "mickey mouse" work! Thanks again for filling me in, that really does enhance this build for me.
Maybe I should search the internet to get pics of these doors acting like this so I can post it next to them in the next contest I enter them in. That should give me points for accuracy! LOL!

Re: Maddog Manufacturing 2018 Production
Thanks Stuart! Production has slowed down considerably due to so many issues cropping up and clumsiness escalating. It sure has done a number on the mojo lately. We'll see how long it takes me to recover it and get back to the bench.
