Declan & Stuart, thank you. I’ll have more updates nice I get the cockpit quite a bit further along. That will likely be next week.

Whow there! We're friends but that's going a little far. :giggles: Nice progress Stik! Oh and if you want to see a Bearcat up close, come to Houston for the airshow. Warbirds EVERYWHERE!!!

I forgot about the Naval Aviation Museum!! I've been once and I ran out of batteries and space on my camera and phone with all the pics I took! That's heaven for US Naval Aviation fanatics like me!

Yes I need to hit there and Dayton before I die. Fort Rucker is supposed to have a nice museum also for Army aviation stuff.

Yes, I've been to that museum a number of times. If you go on a Wednesday in the summertime, don't forget to slip out to the back of the museum and watch the Blue Angels practice. They run their practices just like a show complete with a set of bleachers to sit on. The fun part of it is that if the pilots don't quite nail a maneuver; they do it again!

Good times!

Mark, do the Blues practice in the summer or the winter? I always thought that winter was their off/practice season and summer was when they do their air show tours around the nation.

They practice at Pensacola NAS (where the museum is) during the airshow season. It's only during the winter that they're at El Centro.
