Such a shame to not put this instrument panel in the Tamiya kit. Fantastic color PE details with dials/switches. I will add tiny PE gunsight as well. Tamiya Instrument panel on left I painted last night.

And a damn shame I dont use inner wall framework. This came out of the Eduard Mustang kit as well.

First I had to sand out the detailing in fuselage inner cockpit sides. Details were average as best typical of Tamiya. I went ahead and painted it US Interior Green today before attaching the new framework.

Framework in! May not be perfect or correct but good enough for me.

Nice - I see what you're doing now (I have to admit to getting a bit lost), repurposing the eduard bits to jazz up the Tamiya cockpit. That's a great idea and those sidewalls and IP look excellent.

I have a Qunita set for my P-51B for the same purpose.

Fuselage buttoned up with a little nudging to catch the tabs. Letting them dry for a couple hours before I install the wings.

I used Testors tube glue, not liquid glue. Definitely didnt want to go the CA route for they'll set too quickly for me to adjust and nudge it in place.

Why did you use the tube glue? Just curious.

Why not? I still use it to this day for 50 plus years but apply them differently using toothpick or the like. This way the glue don't ooze out as much. My go-to liquid glue is 10 second glue by Deluxe Materials, my CA glue is Gorilla Glue, thin CA glue is Bob Smith Industries

Main wheel wells painted using Yellow Zinc Chromate and Oxidized Aluminum (old Pollyscale Metallics paint line).

I absolutely love Oxidized Aluminum color!
