Tires and spare done! I used Testors rubber and faded olive drab for rims. The rest of the vehicle will be faded olive drab as well.

They look good Tom! I've been using the AK pens - rubber for tires. Really helps with aircraft tires.

I made my own circle mask (blue painter tape) to cover the rims with a bladed compass. Found it easier to cut circles sticky side up. Had to make a slightly larger circles for the front tires due to center nub. The rims were paint faded olive drab first before the rubber black.

Ready for paint in a few minutes.

Paint is on! Final assembly is next before decals and weathering.

Got the bits installed. Decals go on tonight. Then I start weathering session.

That's looking really cool - not your normal Jeep! (not that there's anything wrong with normal Jeeps mind you).

Next, flat clearcoat, paint minor areas, then weathering. The .50 cal will be the very last item to install.after weathering.

Nuts… forgot to spray clear flat. Oh well… went ahead and painted the shovel, axe, tail lights and side marker lights. Started the weathering process using AK Interactive Dust Effect. At first, I panicked on the tires thinking I overdid it, then relaxed a bit hoping for the best outcome. Tires not on the truck yet. I continued with the weathering process starting under the chassis then to the body. I got a little nervous on how much to weather it using a brush. It is what it is until I see the final result after it dries. Tomorrow, The tires and the .50 cal machine gun gets installed before the final reveal.
