If you have already done the PE bending work, then yes, you should definitely !!

But you could also be selective, perhaps not all the existing details need to be replaced ?

You are right, Kari! Meanwhile, I removed all the raised stuff from the floor and sanded it smooth. I now think about how to align all those PE parts. Tamiya tape should do the trick!

That PE must've tested your patience.

Superb work!

Thanks, Jim!
Indeed they made me mad here and there. I sat there, asking myself: what the hell are you doing here...

Was busy the last weeks, but managed to make some progress. I removed the moulded-on structure from the bottom of the missile chamber, then filled many(!) pin marks. Sanded, and refilled. Sanded, then sealed with superglue. Not perfect, but ok for me.

I masked the lines where I removed the moulded-on structure, then hit it with a coat of primer. After removing the tamiya tape I could easily see where to attach the PE parts.Attaching those took about half an hour. Don´t ask how much time I spend in preparations...

I also re-started my previous work on the missile. More priming and sanding. For a long time I thought about doing Voyager´s replacement parts for the stabilizing fins. So many individual parts to get aligned and assembled. Simply crazy.

Looking back I am aware that this mostly was no fun, but having succeeded here makes me satisfied. Again I made use of soldering, as those fins really are fragile.

Oh we do !

The difference is humongous ! Will look even better getting a layer of primer/paint on it!
