Nice! The only problem I had with that putty is it shrinks.

It does sometimes. I’ll throw another layer tomorrow once I see how it looks after it dried.

Looking very nice indeed Tom.
I do like using PPP for wing roots and fine gaps as well - so much easier than trying to sand it.

Looking good, Tom. That's not a putty I use but you have the right touch with it, for sure. Very tidy fill work!

Going to run with these silver variety for this one. Looking at the Eduard instruction guide for guidance.
Not doing this scheme but helps with other metallic colors placements...

Looking good, Tom. What I’m gathering here is that you started with both Hasegawa and Eduard Mustangs and you replaced the Eduard with a Tamiya kit. Is that correct?

I had started the Eduard Profipak P-51D Mustang kit as part of my dual aircraft build. After Eduard kit went to hell, I decided I’ll wait til Syrcon this past October. The Hasegawa Mustang kit was suppose to be my replacement P-51 Mustang kit; that is until I looked at the box art. It was later aftrIngot home from Syrcon, I decided I was going to build as shown on the box cover. The Tamiya Mustang I ordered as a Christmas gift is my replacement kit for the Eduard Mustang kit.
