Thanks guys! The resin instrument panel with the punched decals for instruments is my favorite way to do it. It takes some effort but I think it's worth it.

Here's a better view of the seat with the chipping effects. It's time to put the harnesses in place.

One way to save money on the HGW seatbelts is to buy a set for a two-seater, in this case a Me262B. Two identical sets of belts for the price of one.

The fabric HGW belts give you a nice drape that is hard to achieve with phototetch.

I've painted the cockpit floor and forward bulkhead. The straps for the foot rests have been replaced with wider strips of aluminum tape.

After I glued the belts into place, I shot it with a gloss coat and gave it a dark pastel wash to dirty it up a bit.

Here is the instrument panel with the Revi 16 gunsight. Based on test-fitting with the windscreen, I may have to chop down the rear reflector glass.

Looks awsome the leather boot around the control stick really stands out to me, I really like how you did it.

I have to say, this looks like you're working on a 1:1 scale aircraft cockpit. Your detail makes the realism here fairly scream out. I'm overwhelmed.

I saw your posts yesterday but I was working from sunup to sundown and went to sleep in a chair with the phone at hand—intending to write a post! What a beautiful and inspiring job of detailing, John! What an amazing job of painting! Truly!

I hope you don't mind the same old "WOW" on the work. I am simply amazed at how good it is.
To make each build less crappy than the last one. Or, put another way, "Better than the last one, not as good as the next one!"..

Thanks fellas! Like the wiring in the Corsair wheel bays, the painting of the K-4 sidewalls is giving me pause. It's mostly dark grey but I don't have many color resources on the K-4 cockpit. I've been looking at some of the skins by those flight simulation guys and have already made a few mistakes. For example, the fuel prime pump on the cockpit floor needs to be changed from red to yellow.
