Yes, the canopy will be closed as will the cowl.

Wonder if you slide the canopy closer to the windshield and then the back piece closer to the middle canopy and the a little filler piece to take up the space?

That may be doable. The center section is supposed to be able to be opened, so there was some gappage built in.

Good ol Revell engineering there...Lyle you have a knack for fixing these bad canopies! Lol

Hey Lyle you have this one drawing closer to the finish line. As floppy fitting as this kit is, you appear to be doing great!

Thank you, kind sir! Overall fit wasn’t horrible, but for some reason, the trailing edges of the wings and tail seemed to want to open up. Getting there, though.

Getting ready to sling some paint, may even use the a/b! Since the old Revell kit's callouts are Dark Gray, Gray and Light Blue...no RLM colors, I broke out The Official Monogram Painting Guide to German Aircraft 1935 - 1945.



The page that references a G6 and most others show RLM 76 or 02 Light Blue, RLM 74 Gray Green and RLM 75 Gray Violet ...nothing in Dark Gray or Gray. **** Cautionary Warning **** I don't really mind if the colors are off a bit. Here is the page I'm using for reference. . .



Also, I pretty much have given up on getting a tight fit on the cowling. It just isn't going to happen without a lot of bad things happening. That coupled with the hideous fit of the gear doors makes it something to not worry about. I will get it as close as I can though.

Primer on:

For a G6, the standard factory scheme will be RLM 74/75/76. There may never been some one off green schemes used by JG-54, but you’d have to research that for confirmation.
