Yes it's a sad story the British aviation industry, lots of worlds firsts and ground breaking design and research, that other countries benefited from to the cost of our own - just read up on the history of the D.H. Comet - And just think how many British inventions allow you Yanks to operate fast jets off aircraft carriers, and exactly whose engine was it that turned the P-51 from an average fighter into a superb one...

If it’s a summer start date, I’m interested. I don’t have anything in my stash that qualifies for the GB yet….
Would anything by land, air, and sea qualifies for this British GB?

Oh come on, it's not like we ever stuffed a British engine into one of our airframes or anything..
..

It's worse than needing a British engine to make the Mustang all it could be, it never would have existed at all without the British order and we would have fought the war with a lot more P-40's. Or would the USAAF have bought Corsairs and F6F's. The P-38 would have been the long range escort fighter in northern Europe and the Pacific would have had a big hole to fill.

That's very true John, I feel the same way about the Harrier - without US development funding for the engine and really strong USMC interest in the type, I doubt it would have ever happened, as the RAF and UK MOD weren't really interested in it. the USMC invented the VIFF in flight manoeuvre and really demonstrated what the aircraft was actually capable of.

You know us Brits, we'll sell to anyone - think of all those lovely Roll Royce powered Mig-15s over Korea
To be honest, I'll be the first person to say that nobody builds jets as good or as sexy as the US. But we have made some pretty damn good aircraft in the UK over the years, and some pretty shockingly bad ones - but nothing as fugly as the F-89
Really the idea for the GB was the fact that, having been a member of various US forums over the years, I don't see a huge amount of love for British subjects beyond the odd Spitfire - certainly I see a hell of a lot more Luftwaffe and IJN/IJA being built, which is strange considering we're supposed to be allies lol!
If British subjects are too narrow an idea, how about Post-war European?

I think Brit only would be fine, but we might have another war over you saying such a dignified airplane might be unsightly. Might I bring up the Bristol Bagshot!

Or, just make it Blackburn only.
