1/48 Eduard 109G and another G and an E
Re: 1/48 Eduard 109G
I love your tail and want to scratch some detail into it...
Re: 1/48 Eduard 109G
Been a little while...
"Pre-painted" the "E"...inculing tail band and yellow chin and rudder.
G's are getting closer. Not sure what it is about these kits, but they just seem fiddly, all the way around. I thought it might be because the engines...but the one without the engine is almost as fussy. Wing/fuse joint was the same for both G's...slight gap at left wing root, that'll need filling and sanding.
Anyway, they sit like this right now...

This is getting really good!!! Helz Yez!!!
Re: 1/48 Eduard 109G
Just finished up painting the E, with the usual MM enamels. With the exception of the tail band all was completely freehand...(I did mask over the yellow when I did the RLM65). Not real sure about the yellow chin, haven't seen any other builds showing it, but the Eduard instructions called for it and I like it, so I did it!
I like it!!!

Every take-off has a landing...some are just better than others

Carved up the "bulge" for the high altitude recce version...just sheet styrene carved and sanded to shape. Also made the little air scoop on the big bulge...thermo-formed over a fat needle and cut to shape. Kinda surprised that Eduard didn't have these options in the kit.
Got both "G's" in pre-color paint....a long, tedious and un-fun process, but totally worth the final resluts!
