That decal sheet though is a nice choice!

Sky wouldn't be too bad actually - it's certainly an easy choice.
The kit itself is one of their 'cheap' range - hence the one option. As I said, you can't go wrong for £5. Saying that, I do think they might have produced a more expensive kit with more than one option at some point.

Are you sure it shouldn't be more of a grey green?
This is what the current consensus is, (I think),White Ensign Mitsubishi Zero Grey-Green.

That does look rather nice John. As the kit I have is a 'starter set' basically, I suspect Airfix has just called out simple colours that are a close enough match from their range - hence the Sky. IIRC they don't do specific IJN or IJA colours. Normally I'd just pick up a Hataka paint set and it wouldn't be an issue, but they don't do them for Japanese aircraft yet. Ammo do, but I've not heard great stuff about their paints. For this build, as I don't plan on building many Japanese subjects, I might just have to go with 'close enough'...

As you probably know, for many years it was thought that early Zero's were just a light grey, and that may have been the basis for the color on an older kit. I was just trying to help, and being a person with poor color vision I couldn't possibly give a recommendation a Humbrol mix.

The exact color of Zeros is something of a wormhole. Here is a nice dive into that wormhole…

I totally get that John and it's much appreciated. I shall more than likely use you photo as a colour reference. Alas I can't seem to find any of that White Ensign paint but I'll keep looking. Sky, as much as I love the colour. is far too green to be correct.
