Joe this is stunning and I also have trouble separating real from model! Brilliant ideas for the signage; I'm thrilled to see those!

Well gang...............I started thinking about how I could go about the outside of the walls but didn't just want to put something directly over the walls because the window and door wouldn't be spaced in any plus it'd be really hard to cover what is already there without damaging the walls that I already have in place. So I came up with an idea.

I cut out a piece of plexiglass the dimensions of the walls and cut out the window area for the back wall and will cut out the door area for the side wall so that both items are spaced in from the outside of the walls.

Wall trimming in progress:

and the outside of the wall now covered in a textured brick pattern covering from Dollhouse Miniatures. I've still got a little clean up to do but you get the picture.

Thanks Bruce. I'm also thinking about planting a small tree behind the shop so as to be seen through the window.

Found this online as well. Whaddaya think?

Go for it! Might be nice to have a pair so you can create a sense of depth, but not that of a screen... or a jungle. I think the aesthetic is one of a shop within a home environment so having foliage is important to keep prying eyes away from looking inside.

I was actually thinking the same thing! LOL! However, there is a type of oak whose leaves resemble a marijuana plant. I think that this is a brilliant addition to the set. Maybe even a second plant as Bruce suggested, only a different breed.

I also really love the exterior brick pattern.
