One of these days. Perhaps later in the year. I have a couple “must do” projects ahead, plus I need to finish up some sidelined builds. I finished zero of those last year- a big no go... :bag:

Right now, I am just doing some figures work... trying some new things with oils.

Being no ship builder myself, too, I had to get the Titanic after having seen the documentary, and having read about ten books! This is the kit I have:

I also have got some few aftermarket. I did some sanding on the hull, but this is a little bit tedious due to the sheer size!

Doc, that’s looking good!

Carlos, I keep the door firmly shut when I leave the Hobby Room. There's no way the cats can get in there when I'm not around. My wife won't even open the door so I have no fears there either.

Kevin, that is an excellent lineup of in progress models there. I also tried to help my nephews finish their 1/350 scale Titanic, but I ran out of time and they eventually tossed the unfinished ship. I built the 1/542 scale one from Revell, way back in 1996 when the "Titanic" movie first came out. After that movie broke, you could not buy a Titanic model to save your life! Believe me, I was working at a hobby Shop at the time and we had a six month long backorder on any and all Titanic kits. Mine was on display in a display case and everyone went crazy who saw it.

Anyway, I'm looking forward to watching those models get built.

Speaking of Titanic models and that movie... we had it and my kids watched that movie all the time... fast forward several years and I am going to IPMS meetings and my youngest is tagging along for some father/daughter time. She has something of a dark sense of humor (I have no idea where she got that... ) anyways, one meeting she attends and somebody has brought a build of the Revell Titanic. She sees it and says to me, “ wouldn’t it be cool if somebody made that sinking?”....

That’s my girl... :giggles:

You did take here for ice cream or something after that, right? Love it. You know, it you watch Titanic backwards, the boat doesn't sink, but he loses the girl.

I’m sure we grabbed something after the meeting.

Yeah, she is awesome. And someone did model it sinking. I even saw someone who modeled it as it looks on the bottom of the ocean right now too. So cool!

As for what's on my bench, feel free to check out my Manufacturing thread for the latest progress.

Besides my main build, the Jagdpanther (and the semi-main build, the Sd.Kfz. 251/1 )...
I have added to my bench, 100% inspired by Bruce aka Speedgraflex for the big silent audience of these SPAM pages... also this...

(pending the Apollo project and Tirpitz... The 1/32 FW 190 and 1/32 Spitfire are on a long term leave together with my 1/32 P-38..)
