Well I was able to do a bit more work on this today. I've got the pulleys & belt as well as the alternator/ bracket and carburetors installed. Slowly but surely..................

That's a super bit of work on that Engine Joe!

How big are these 1/24 engines - 2 or 3 inches in length? They look like they take a good bit of detail.

Thanks Mark and Stuart!
Stuart: The engine itself is about 1-1/2 " long not counting the transmission. Still a lot of work to go with all the rest of the wiring, throttle linkage, fuel delivery lines and exhaust.

Thanks Kari! LOL!

Check THIS out:

I will add a bit of humor to the equation here as my son and I were at Walmart in SA just yesterday morning grabbing a bite to eat at McDonalds inside. As we came back out to the car to go back to the hospital I spotted inspiration for my next build right there in the parking lot. It was a daily driver with a baby seat in the back seat. I couldn't help but to start laughing and thinking that I just had to make this one come to life in model form. I've spotted a body from Perry's resins so far but don't know what kit to pattern it after. Here's the link to the body. http://www.perrysresin.com/catalog/page ... uwagon.htm
The perfect "grocery getter" complete with cowl induction hood, "skinnies" in the front and "meats" in the rear. If this aint redneck.......I don't know what is! But it's cool!!!!!

Now to find a donor kit........ :hmm:
