Tywin Lannister, NutsPlanet, 1/10

Post by tigrazor »

Most of you know about him - for those of you who are new to the forum, heres the figure I made before the Furuta samurai.

A little background first...

As a big fan of the fantasy series "Game of Thrones", based on the novels of George R. R. Martin, I was really excited when the new Korean figure manufacturer "NutsPlanet" brought Jon Snow and Tywin Lannister.

Here are the trailers of season 1-4, so you can get the idea of the series:

Season 1:

Season 2:

Season 3:

ATM on tv screens comes season 4:

The figure itself is totally awesome and worth every cent. Although its not cheap (56 plus shippping), it was total fun to paint it. No flashes, no bubbles - just the finest resine Ive seen so far. Prime it, paint it - done!

Charles Dance is a very brilliant actor btw and has played in tons of movies. Somehow I had seen that face before, but I smiled when I recognized that he played the doctor "Clemens" taking care for Sigourney "Ripley" Weaver in Alien 3 for example. ;)

Thats how he looks like in the GoT series:

I like the details and the likeness of the sculpt. This man i know simply as "Charlie" - he comes to work at the theatre a lot and he is one of the nicest blokes - i dont know him as the game of thrones character but you have captured Charlie's face very well!
