Safety first

What do you use for safety reasons on your work bench? Masks? Rubber gloves? Or even thimbles?

From my point of view: almost nothing to be honest. Okay, when I paint, I dont wear my best clothes and Im using acrylics in 90%. The other 10 are enamels for metal colors etc (but I found out that Vallejos brand new acrylic metals are very good too!).

One thing what is important nevertheless is a mask. Its from Moldex and helps a lot. Maybe I have to get some additional active coal filters too for the perfect result. The safety goggles shown below arent used that often - just because I wear my glasses under it as well. ;)

I read that Mostrich uses Draeger masks, heard a lot of good things about them too..

Come to the dark side... we have cookies! :shoot:

I like cookies! I really don't use much. Mostly spray acrylics or rattle can. I do turn on the spray booth, though. Hasn't really had any adverse as;fajlk skjj0249 al.

As mentioned by Manny I also use condoms, and also rubber boots when raining. Except than that, I also use a dust mask when sanding plastic, resin, putty or CA -that's really nasty stuff. I paint with acrylics but I always use a respirator, ok solvents are not as bad as with enamels, but some pigments might contain heavy metals.

Safety measures:
Respirator when airbrusing, rubber gloves, safety goggles when using my Dremel, dust mask when sanding. Basic stuff really.

Nothing actually. Any airbrushing I do were done in the comfort of my garage or outdoors during the summer. With colder weather coming, I will be investing in an airbrush booth.

Yup... We're rebels in this hobby when it comes to safety. Kinda like drinking water from a garden hose and riding a bike without a helmet when we were kids. We bad to the bone!!!
