Revell 1/52 SnowSpeeder

Post by tigrazor »

Good evening.

6,99 € and fun all the way! Only problem: the figures (again!). So I got some AeroBonus pilots, rebuild them, and added some additional details to the SnowSpeeder. Like...

>added seat belt
>scratched side panels
>added aditional PE controls
>added pedals
>opened the canopy (original: closed)
>opened & scratchbuilt maintenance door
>kitbashed stairway
>kitbashed destroyed shield generator

A blue scheme for X-Wings and SnowSpeeders existed in the original drawings - and never made it in the movies. I always wondered and was told that it caused problems with the blue screen (yeah, of course!!! :headslap: ).

Enjoy,

Lucas.

PS: Yes, that Speeder is really small. :lashed:

Very cool. I wish my old MPC Snow Speeder had survived to this time...

Extremely good looking!

Will you participate some competition with this build, it's a winner build I say!

Many thanks.

Not a competition itself, but theres a StarWars GB on another forum called "Modelers Social Club". A great bunch of awesome projects going on there.

That is an impressive dio. The size is misleading as it views larger than it is.
Now that we know that.... What have we learned?...

I always loved this McQuarrie preproduction concept art of the snowspeeder.
