Hello all,

and welcome to my next project - this is definetely NO "quick shot".

I rarely had a kit like this, with so much parts that you cant even see your workbench anymore. A hell of a kit, although the Kharkov decals are wrong (so they say - have to take a closer look) and it feels like there are 1500 kit parts.

As always, the model only is a no-no on my workbench :ballbat:

The basic idea is quite simple: a breakfast board, some roots brought from the yesterdays Easter promenade (>birch trees?!) and a figure of a German soldier in winter uniform. He fits definetely here, maybe some other are following.

Have a nice Easter monday!

Lets see, Im not too sure until now. So many chances to ruin something- these pieces are really fiddly. :P

Finally the fun part for the dio, which can be easy done. As always, to give more contrast to it instead of going for white only, I primed in anthracite. Black would work too, if you want to go for sharper contrasts. Then white followed, and some brown pigments, especially in the deeper areas for the muddy look. Last step: the baking soda. Better is natron of course, it happens from time to time (here too) that the baking soda gets cloggy. If so, its better to put it in a bowl and grind it before you put it on the diorama with hairspray.

A propos hair spray: If you want to achieve a quick & simple icy look, add a lot of hairspray on the desired spot (of course it will take a bit longer to dry). I most cases I use wooden bases, and so were talking about a few more seconds.

;)

So far, so good (?)

Thank you. There will be two more figures: one kitbashed Dragon paratrooper from the "2nd Fallschirmjäger Division" set (No. 6157) and I found this guy here:

Hes looking at the monument as well, if the building lets me do so - well see. ;)
