Special Request from Hobbico
To make each build less crappy than the last one. Or, put another way, "Better than the last one, not as good as the next one!"..

Re: Special Request from Hobbico
Had a look at the "Coming soon" list of kits. There was the immediate impulse to ask for the P5M Marlin kit. Then, after some checking, I noticed to be a rather old kit with raised panel lines...
Anybody asked for the Volkswagen Type 2 Delivery Van "Moon Equipped" so far?

Re: Special Request from Hobbico
No, but I asked for the P5M. Old or not, I've been wanting one.

Hey Lyle, nice to read some lines from you!
Talking about Hobbico; any news on this one?
Would still love to do a build review with it.

Embarrassing enough, it is still on my desk. No excuses really other than I simply haven't had time to fine a DHL office near me. I will get it out to you as soon as I can.mostrich wrote:Hey Lyle, nice to read some lines from you!

Re: Special Request from Hobbico
I've added it to the bottom of the first post for the build of the A6M5c.
I'm still plugging away with this, sorry for no updated pics. I had hoped to have it completed by now; however, I wasnt overly thrilled with some of the paint, so I took it back down to the primer and re-shot the AK Xtreme Metal and IJN green topcoat. I am work on making a decision at this point on whether or not to use the Hinomaru decals or paint them using a mask. I have done some weathering on the overall surface of the wings and fuselage and I dont want the markings to be too bright.

Re: Special Request from Hobbico
Do I need to add this to my two Tomcats review?
The Duke
Virtuoso of Miniatures
"Do you know what the chain of command is? It's the chain I get and beat you with 'till you understand who's in ruttin' command!"
-Jayne Cobb, Firefly Episode 2 "The Train Job"
We are modelers - the same in spirit, in hunger to insanely buy newly released kits, hustlers in hiding our stash from our better halves and experts in using garbage as replacements for after-market parts.

Wouldn't hurt anything, but not necessary.Duke Maddog wrote:Do I need to add this to my two Tomcats review?

Re: Special Request from Hobbico
Wish I could do reviews but working two full time jobs really limits my building time.
