Thanks Tom. I just did an oil wash on the uniform, so that will take awhile to dry before I can do dry brushing of dust/highlights.

Good ol' "chocolate chip"! That's one of my favorite camo patterns during the late autumn hunting season around here.

Gary, that camo does indeed work surprisingly well in varied terrains. It’s especially effective in rocky desert areas like the American Southwest, or in scrub brush or similar areas.

Well, now that the oils are dry and I have him dry brushed, I’m calling him done.





My Gulf War M998 looks way better now with him in there behind the .50.

I swear the Tamiya primer looked closer to what I've seen.

After doing some research I figured Tamiya XF-76 was the color... looks way too green so I'll have to do something like an IJN grey over it. Cowl is the right color from Mr Color. Grrr...

No way to get that color to satisfy everyone, John. The first color may have faded to the second, eh?

Still not happy with the color. I'm going to hit it with Mr Color IJN Grey which is gray gray.... we will see

Remember now, Nakajima and Mitsubishi used two different grays. The Rufe endured far more salt water and sunshine to bleach out any gray, compared to any land based or ship based aircraft.
