I have the same kit in my stash. Definitely will follow this one and hope to pick up some pointers and learn something new.

Man… had a lot of catching up to do.

Carlos…

Those targets are coming along great!

Mike …

I have the P-3 Orion in my stash. Did one in my early college years after a visit to my aunt & uncle in Maryland. My uncle worked at Patuxent River Naval Air Station and took me out on the base. It was there I saw a squadron of Orions on the tarmac.

keavdog… that Rufe is looking great. It’s definitely on my wish list after watching an old episode of Dogfights.

Mark…geez Louise…. You got a lot going on there mister.

So is there any consensus on the 'whiteish' paint of the early zeros/rufe?
Thanks,

Mostly I’ve been doing minor repair work and getting photos taken of a batch of my older builds.

On my bench? A mess. I've been trying to straighten up things. I am an old guy that likes to keep boxes, jars, etc. A legacy trait from my momma. Anyway, broke down a bunch of boxes, boxed up what started kits i could to store them. Ordered parts that I am sure I'll need, and busted out a

1/48 scale BABY BLUEplastic Airfix Hurricane from 1983. I guess because the under side is 'Duck Egg Blue', they diceded to mould the entire kit in that color!

Sounds like your bench is like my bench. Lots of little things taking over on my bench.

I remember long ago building an Airfix He-177 Griffin that was molded in that baby blue plastic now that you mention it… 🤔
