Re: SPAM Military Vehicle Group Build
Thank you, Thomas! I hope you will join! I first heard “AFV Club” from your fantastic Churchill.
I researched “Eureka XXL” tow cables (I was not sure about the “ length of twine,” frankly), but I only found a WWII US tow cable set for Sherman.
Carlos built beautiful cables from parachute cord and aluminum pieces, but I am not sure if the cables he made are only in use for the Leopard. The US design appears to be for a larger diameter cable, perhaps more strands were used to braid the “rope,” I am not sure.
I am researching the best photos online but I may need a research book specifically addressing US and AVRN M41 use in Vietnam. Any ideas?

Also this photo is great. I was wondering if it was common to remove front fenders on tanks for repair reasons? The stances of the men riding are amazing as well.

Either would be a great choice Carlos. They're smart looking armoured cars.

Those are some great photos Bruce. I find a lot of Vietnam war photography to be very atmospheric.speedgraflex wrote:Thank you, Thomas! I hope you will join! I first heard “AFV Club” from your fantastic Churchill.Thomas_M wrote:Bruce, I really love your wonderfully illustrated posts!
