Nice work on your speeder. I certainly never mind detailed documentation, Clint. I believe strongly that it is better to show the stages for a number of reasons - it helps a reader to better follow your progress first and foremost and that is the main reason - and it helps you the builder to take stock of what works and what does not...

Your snowspeeder build makes me think of landing gear - is this one of the mysteries of the Star Wars vehicle universe? I assumed a tripod style set of gear cobbled from a Y-Wing but I have no confirmation from the internet. Do you know? What will be your display solution? I saw this quite good idea another modeler devised...

Thank you Borg

Bruce thank you glad I'm not rambling on for no reason here lol. in the movies they just appear to float. That photo looks like a maintenance platform of some sort very cool looking. The way I'm doing it is taking a length of polystyrene tubing running the fiber optics through it and camouflaging it into the snow of the base. I'll be posting some more photos later of the speeder and falcon on the base.

You’re right, Clint—they float. Interesting.

Well, the landspeeders float, so why not their cousin, the snow speeders.

Just a quick update wanted to show the Falcon and Snowspeeder on the base. The groundwork is the same as the cave Sculptamold mixed a bit more wet with Krycell Precision ice and snow sifted on top of it then the Falcon pushed into the wet groundwork to lock it down good to the base.

That's all for now.

I was thinking of doing that originally but I didn't want to take to much away from the Falcon.

Very understandable... :hmm:

When I was a kid, MPC came out with an Echo Base diorama kit that had a vacuform base with the Rebel trench line, some small scale AT-ATs, Speeders, a transport and some Xwings, and tiny figures...

Too bad it was much smaller than their older AT-AT and Snowspeeder kits...

Beautiful diorama man !I would have probably positioned the Falcon at a bit more angle so more of her could be seen from the one side. Still, that is a great scene. I agree with Carlos, it does need an X-wing, which I don't believe would take away from the Falcon. She's a big bird and brilliantly done!

Still, this is yours and you truly will make this an outstanding masterpiece!
