Thank you Bruce! She's a simple out-of-the-box build; nothing special added except the decals that were specific to my friend Ed. I was thrilled to be able to finish this.

Thank you so much! I purchased the 1/72 Monogram version as well as Microscale decals. My plan is to enjoy building both kits. I started to get the adrenaline going when I figured out how to mate those halves of the fuselage. Before that I was thinking about selling this kit.

I use Gunze-Sangyo products—hopefully not a misplaced loyalty. I do not like clamping joins. I have used enough steam to reshape the fuselage to better support the weight of the wings—although I do not have flaps on the wings yet. Uh oh.

Mr Cement is great stuff, it is my primary for solid joints but when you need something on the exterior Tamiya extra thin is my go to.

You are all aces.

I definitely think it was Grant McCune of ILM who influenced me with using the most rapid setting adhesive possible to bring a model together. I have a feeling I may need to unlearn this technique in order to move forward.

Did I mention I ordered the 1/72 Monogram RA-5A from 1967 and Microscale Decals from 1987? I also shot the lock off my wallet for all those wonderful Insignia Grays, more CA and Tamiya tape—and I am waiting patiently to begin again.
