OK, so, I truly am nuts :giggles: , but I usually am at the beginning of the year, then I get my sanity back sometime around July.
I stated a project that I've wanted to do for quite a while, a kit bash something or other.
I searched through my spare parts box, scratched my head, thought about ideas and finally sprung for the old crappy Revell USS Missouri with the 40% off from Hobby Lobby and started cutting.
Using a hull from an old 1/350 Ohio class sub, I cut for a base for engineering spaces and engines.

Then I clipped and sanded off all of the molded on guns and sundry deck fitting and filled the holes and gouges. added 1/32 fuel tanks, engine nozzles off a 1/72 Harrier Pegasus engine, wings off the same kit, and the tail off a 1/72 MiG 29.

Now I'm waiting for some burner cans from a the Space Battleship Yamato from a friend to add to the engines but have several more things and details to add

Like I said, lots and lots still to do, but I need to put it aside for a couple of days to work on the Perry and complete the Spruance.

Thanks guys, it's a massive amount of fun, just to come up with new ideas. Antenna sticking out everywhere, modifying the main guns, maybe some missiles slung under the "wings", just an imagination, boxes of parts and filler to work with. :hmm: I frankly can't keep my hands off doing something to it every night, even if it's sanding something.

What a sensational idea! The Japanese can't be the only ones to launch such a ship; this is gonna look extraordinary!

You are simply brilliant man! :shoutout: :shoutout: :shoutout:

LOL thanks guys, working on the engine nozzles and bla bla bla, then going to add multi sonic high speed milon cannon ya da ya da or some such fleet killing weapon. :lashed:
It's a great way to distract myself from the serious business of ship building, and get rid of some of my scrap parts box while I'm at it.
And I can't deny, it's super fun.
