Getting things together - I still think this looks like something out of Flash Gordon!
Once I get all of the main assemblies together I'll break out the filler... and I'll need a lot me thinks!

Sweet job on that Stuart! I also like your idea of reinforcing your clamps with the wooden strip. Brilliant!
I agree, I'm sure this model (at least the cockpit section) has been the inspiration for a number of Sci-Fi ships.
