This is looking great!
To make each build less crappy than the last one. Or, put another way, "Better than the last one, not as good as the next one!"..

I’m not feeling it going forward with red. I will use the kit’s decals but I don’t want to go with red.

I’ve been leaning towards blue of sorts. Other colors ideas is encouraged. I don’t want to go with typical colors of the ‘57 Corvette.

I have this kit in the stash and the car guys say it's a tough one. Nice work on the motor and headers.
Thanks,
John

Tough indeed especially with the exhaust pipes. I managed to glue the front two slots last night with gorilla glue. Had to hold them in place for a few minutes for it to hold it in place. Tonight, I get to do it again on the left side. What fun... :bored:

Those headers do look like a PIA. But it looks like you made it through them alright.

Color...….How about Mystic Teal Metallic? It's a color changer that changes from green to blue to purple. It was used on GM cars and SUV's from the mid 90's till around 2002. I painted my Camaro with it:

I had actually thought of that last night. Hobby Lobby has them in rattle can. May look into them.

Engine updates…

For some odd reason the left side was easy to install. I had to snip off a tiny piece off one of the connecting pipes for it was a tad long.

Exhaust pipes painted and engine installed to chassis...

I had a glue bomb incident with the 3 point roll cage. It melted when I tried to glue them together. End result after I snipped off the long end off...

What would MacGuyver do? I had some tubing that's perfect size as the roll bars. I cut it to size and snipped off the bristle part off the braces floss...

End result...

Since the end part will be on the interior floorboard, the biggest advantage is it's flexible for me to work it once I install it at the end steps.
