I wouldn't be too hard on yourself - I'm pretty sure I'd balls a car body up too!

Nah... I don't get all hard up over it. I think I rushed into putting the first coat on it a little too thick. I normally don't. That day, I probably did considering I was running out of daylight and wanted to get back on it sooner. Oh well...

I managed to do a spray session with my airbrush. I used Createx Wicked Black. I like the black and it looks pretty close to Raven Black to me. It definitely will need a gloss coat. I only could do the body until my compressor overheated and shut down on me. Tomorrow, I'm going to shoot another coat on it then move on to the hood and front bumper chin.

As mentioned in my airbrush problems thread, I was able to spray a coat of clear gloss beautifully tonight. Pics forthcoming.

Wow... I once asked my dad what car he had. Believe it or not.... 1957 Bel Air. I asked what happened to it. Told me he sold it... :headbang: :headbang: :headbang: :headbang: :headbang:

After I said "WHAT!?!?!?!", it was then he told me how was he suppose to know it was going to be a collectible classic automobile.

Exactly... the ‘57 Bel Air was as common as the ‘72 Beetle once upon a time. Who knew? :hmm:
