Revell 1/72nd Type VIIc U-Boat U-552
Re: Revell 1/72nd Type VIIc U-Boat U-552
I love 72nd U-Boot builds. It takes a brave man to tackle it. I'm sure you'll succeed!

I got one of these in the stash too. I want to get that wooden deck for it and also a company makes a resin pressure hull for under the deck, can't think of who makes it at the moment. You did such a good job on the S-boot I know this is going to be just as good.

Blue Ridge and Yankee Modelworks make a pressure hull. I did think about it when i first got the kit but figured i could better spend the cash on other bits. I will just put some cardboard tube to replicate the pressure hull.

I seen where someone used a 35mm film canister in the front part where you can see if from the floods. It was a very convincing looking pressure hull for that part. When I ever get around to building mine I was just going to use photos of the resin piece to try and create my own. You are right it's going to be extremely hard to see anything through the deck and that money would be useful elsewhere.
I'm really curious to see that Eduard deck gun.

I am working on it guys. 2 weeks in an dthe prot side is just about done as far as the alterations go. Then i just have to repeat the whole process on the starboard. But i think i might do some work on that gun and the tower in between.

that is a big lady!
