Yesterday I finished a MiG-3 by Hobby Boss in 1:72. This kit is from their easy kit range, so the cockpit consists now of a lot of scratch parts.

Man, I just love those WW2 Russian fighters. I have one in my stash. Definitely love the white scheme. Well done!!

Now THAT is very beautiful! Excellent finish on this one!

Wonderful. Very realistic weathering and details. I never feel the scale effect when I see your work. I am not sure how that is possible, but the aircraft looks full size with nothing diminutive about its fit or finish. I suppose the answer is that when form is considered then everything else falls into place. Congratulations!

Yes, that would not be taken as 1/72 if it weren't labeled so. Very nice.
Is there any other production fighter that comes close to having a cockpit so far aft? I can't think of one.

Both the D.520 and IAR 80 had similar long noses, but with cockpits set a bit more forward of the tail.jeaton01 wrote:
