Another bit of Tamiya loveyness! Makes me want to dig my F-14 kit out and build it!

After masking started the paintwork..

Straight from the factory, next step some drybrushing and oil wash to bring up the details

Done for the time being, most of this will not even be that visible, so I am fine with the result.

After it has dried over the night, most of the thinner remainings will evaporate and the result will be a step smoother ( I hope )

Ah, the new Phantom kit by Lego errr... Tamiya.
Bought it last week and I'm just blown by the quality of the molding and the perfect positioning of the sprue gates. At the moment I'm sucking in every review and build log I can find about that kit. I'm even more happy that one of my SPAM buddies is on it!

Congrats for the new Tamiya baby in the house!! :-D
I also immediately noticed the smart and intelligent positioning of the spruegates. The Tamiya engineers should give some tips & tricks to other kit makers how to design sprues..

Looking spectacular Kari! You've got a real knack for this!

You got this man!
