Thanks Duke !

Work continues with the cockpit, slowly but surely. I don't want to rush this, so I take my time.

Cocktail stick blues ongoing. The yellow paint jar in the background is probably one of my oldest paints, as used so seldomly and practically only for tiny drops here and there :-D

Most of the pieces, that can be done at this stage of the build is attached. The coming day starts the work with the instrument panel and adding decals on it. This time, I will split up the one part IP decal into several smaller. Lessons learned from previous builds.

Kari,

It’s always such a pleasure to follow your progress! I was thinking of you yesterday when I tried some new to me sandpaper with adhesive peel and stick paper backing. It’s a brilliant way to attach sandpaper to a flat block or small stick. I know you are working on detail painting but your ability to define each area is simply exquisite. Thanks for your post!

One the last "big" tasks before the cockpit is ready (at this stage) is the instrument panel.
I will use the decal Tamiya provides, but will cut it in several smaller pieces, lessons learned from the Mustang build earlier this year.

And here we go!

I was a little bit concerned, that the thickness of Tamiyas decals would cause some issues, but no issues at all. Tamiyas own decal setting soltion, Mark Fit, did a very good job!

And so does the work go on, bit by bit, slowly but surely, but so far so good!
Let's see the outcome later today!

Very smart to cut the IP decals into smaller sections to better fit over the part contours.

Brilliant work Kari! Those instrument panel decals are really eye popping.
