Now THIS'LL be fun to watch and in 1/72nd scale at that!! How detailed out is that kit?
In all my time wanting to build this aircraft I always thought it was peculiar that it only had the rear facing .30 caliber machine gun for any kind of defense but that aint the case. It's got a .30 caliber firing through the prop blades as well. I never realized this until I saw this:

unfortunately this kit it's not too detailed.. or perhaps fortunately it's not too detailed.

This is the 1st time I build a AZ model kit, and for the moment it will highly probably me my last time, at least for a time being..

Very soft plastics, which as well is very brittle. I know, strange combination, soft and brittle..

Over complicated construction, especially the rear gun installation is made of small and thin pieces. As the canopy glass is thick, when masked and painted you won't even see any details etc.
No location pins to be seen anywhere, the fit is nothing to cheer over, in other words so and so. Also the casting quality is not too good, pretty much flash here and there.

Which is strange, as the kit/tooling is from 2019. Not too old

If they simply “snap” in place and holds it straight, you’re golden.

I honestly didn’t know they had a Kingfisher kit in 1/72 scale. Hell, I never seen one in that scale as a kid during the 70s or early 80s.

I’m looking forward to seeing how the float assembly to the fuselage goes, Kari.

The Kingfisher project went on hold pretty quickly..

and then came a longer period of hold before I pretty recently started to build the new F-16A from Kinetic.
Nice kit as such but instructions are typical Kinetic standard, one need to interpret them correctly.
Fit is not 100% good either, but buildable of course.

The current status of the Viper, priming ongoing.



To build the Kinetic has been time to time a little bit "stressy", so to compensate this, I decided to pick continue my F-4B from Tamiya. And oh boy, what a class difference between Kinetics Viper and Tamiyas Phantom! What a joy to build!
