Re: Revell 1970 Ford Mustang Pastel Blue
Okay, the computer is giving me some attitude this morning....because I am short of time I suppose. Calling her done. The wife will be happy. I see a number of areas of improvement and some lessons that have been learned. But, overall, there is a lot I like about this one. . . How the paint turned out, some of the detail I was able to do (side marker lights) and so on. Next time, I'll spend more time on fitting the hood to the body properly/
Here she is, warts and all.

Fire it up! Big fan of the 70 body style. Nice job and looking forward to using the MCW paints I have acquired for a few projects but yet to spray.
Thanks,

Well I see very few warts on this beauty! Magnificent work Lyle! I am thrilled to see you finish more and more.

There aint nuthin' wrong with that my brother Lyle. That paint DID turn out good indeed and I'll just bet that your wife is happy with that.
A little trick I've learned in regards to the wheels. Use acrylic/ water based paint on painting the black inserts of the wheels. You can always go back with those pointed cotton tip/ swabs you see at HL and wipe away the black paint from the edges to clean it all up. Good turn out on this car though bud.

No worries Lyle. Something to keep in mind for your next one.
I'm still on mine but am in the process of applying the BMF to all the window trim and roof rails on my Stang. Then there's the tail light panel with the six PE chrome trim pieces around each of the six lights. A tedious process on both counts.
