I re-read your story on Mance, Gary. What a singular opportunity that was! I looked him up and he is indeed Blues Royalty. There are some anecdotal recounts, but his body of work is out there. You have a great memory of such a legend and it boggles my mind. I understand your wanting more from that night and it would be a great thing to have. But that one picture almost has a Robert Johnson thing going on in it. And that is a very awesome thing indeed.

I've met and played with some greats in my travels. I once let Leslie West borrow my Explorer for a gig! Meeting heroes is always a mish mash of emotion, starry eyed wonder with a dash of humble deference. Usually the gravity doesn't hit you until much later on.

A cherished memory for certain.
