I have made the engine, engine mount and the interior.
The interior will be white seats, grey floor and tan walls and ceiling. I will paint the engine with a gunmetal.

That sounds quite reasonable! Good to get those bit out of the way.

Uh, did you add any weight inside the engine halves!
To make each build less crappy than the last one. Or, put another way, "Better than the last one, not as good as the next one!"..

Thank you kindly, stik!
Lyle, I didn't put weights in the engine itself, as it is actually really tiny. However, there is plenty of room left in the nose cone/engine bay to put some ball bearings I have lying around. I haven't tested the landing gear yet, but I do expect it to sit on its tail. The nose landing gear is barely held in place by the looks of the instructions, so it will be interesting to get it all to sit flat and steady.

Declan, leave out that right rear seat, we hardly ever had it in the V-35 to allow for more baggage room and because the airplane had an aft CG issue.

John, I cut the rear seat out. I will use the seat actually as suitcases, just cut it up and reshape them and boom, luggage.
I also painted the engine, dash and started the interior colour. I was looking at the paint schemes and photographs and I realized where I have been going wrong recently in my builds. I never cared what colours things REALLY were, I paint for what looks good to me. So I just painted the engine in some nice metallics I got today, and the interior has a darker gray floor. Photos to come when some real progress is made.
Also I broke the stand... oops. Guess I have to do wheels down now.

Ok I officially hate this kit. I have only ever wanted to toss a kit in the garbage once before, but this kit takes the cake. NOTHING fits. The glass is so horribly thick, the two fuselage halves don't even line up and the landing gear barely had anywhere to stick to. I am putting this kit back in the box for some other time. I am going to start a new kit for this GB, I have never done a british/UK jet. When my tornado gets here, that is my Cherry Popping kit.

Yeah it happens - sometimes it's just best to put a kit to one-side and move on to something else...

Sorry to hear that about the Bonanza Declan. Come back it to it when you feel up to the challenge.

Haha I will Stik. As for now, it is sitting comfortably on one of my shelves. Maybe I was a bit spoiled from that Tamiya kit.... Either way, I am just going to let it rest for a while before picking it up again
