Nice work!
To make each build less crappy than the last one. Or, put another way, "Better than the last one, not as good as the next one!"..

Thank you Carlos! Yes, that is the multi-colored Matchbox plastic. I'm gonna have to check toy see how to paint this ship. It would be hilarious if the deck was dark and the hull was light! :headslap: :giggles:

Thank you John! I hope I can keep that speed up!

Thank you Lyle and Mike! Glad you stopped in.

I’m willing to bet that is how the ship was painted… a light to medium gray on the verticals and all the main decks painted a dark gray…. :hmm:

You're probably right. I'll look into it but I'm not going to do serious research to do the ship as seen on 'this' day in 'that' battle. It's a basic kit built OOB so I'm just going to paint it the same basic way.

It's been about a week or so since I finished this so here are the completed pics of this ship.

HMS Kelly has been launched and sent out on her shakedown cruise:

It's built in a very basic manner, what the IPMS now calls BKB or Basic Kit Build. I'm happy to have her in my collection. Thank you for looking in, comments are welcome.
