The only jitters you’ll be getting is assembling bi-wing aircrafts with center and wingtip floats. Regular seaplanes weren’t too bad.
The best thing with this particular kit, I get 2 sprues of same letter (sprue D, G, H, and W) If should a barrel of one main turrent break off, I can build another or if one of the tiny AA guns disappears to God knows where, I had plenty of spares.

Originally the Mogami was classified as a heavy cruiser with five main gun turrents - 3 in front, 2 in the rear before converting to an aircraft carrying cruiser later during WW2.

Well that's neat! Good idea from whoever designed the kit.

Painted the boats and the aircrafts. Next... apply the “meatballs” decals to the aircrafts - tomorrow most likely. No pics because the battery on the camera died out on me. Camera needs to be recharged. :bored:

Feel that. Past few days I have made progress on things, but forgot to charge the camera. Today might be the day

No, no it won't.

I know I’m overthinking this but looking at pics of Jakes and Petes in storage mode, I noticed cowls are covered in canvas for a reason (keep salty air/sea water and other debris out during transport).

Knowing I love a challenge, I want to replicate that on a 1/700 scale kit. I know tissue paper is the usual way to replicate it. My guess is diluted tissue paper to afix to the cowls. Yeah they will be tiny, but I’m game to try it. Of course, I’ll go blind doing so. :giggles:

Look here to see what I’m talking about. Scroll down about 3/4 way down and you will see pics of them.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Japanes ... ami_(1934)

I’m running it the stripes on floats as shown and yellow leading edges on wings as well. My guess the last 3 stripes are white only on one side of the wings since they look brighter than yellow.

Thoughts? I’m aware the photo is about 1934 according to photo link above.
